SHERLOCK, PAPER AWESOMENESS, AND THE RHINO CHAIR.

Hello friends!
Welcome to Wonderful Wednesday!
Those are only 3 of the FABULOUS things I am gonna talk about today!!!
I (as always) am gonna share with you 5 things that I am sooooooo jazzed by this week!
Yes.
JAZZED!!!
Here we go:

1.) For those of you who have not seen "Sherlock". (I know there are some of you out there.)

YOU MUST. That's M-U-S-T watch this show. I love it!
The best t.v. since True Blood!
It is from our friends at the BBC, and they describe it thusly:
"Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson's adventures in 21st Century London. A thrilling, funny, fast-paced contemporary remake of the Arthur Conan Doyle classic."
It has GREAT dialogue, and is super clever. They make S.H. a bit of a Sociopath....ok...maybe a LOT of one....and Watson is a great counterpoint to him...they are both acted super well too!!
LOVE IT!!! Here is a clip:

Try it out! There are only 3 episodes (90 min each). Season 2 will also have 3 (90 minute) episodes!
Which is SAAAAAAAAAD.....but you get a lot of action and intrigue for that little time!

2.) I LOVE this work by Toronto based photographer and photoshop manipulator David Trautrimas. He takes everyday objects and appliances and transforms them into futuristic  industrial buildings and factories set in desolate landscapes. It is a beautiful post-apocolyplitcal view of landscapes/cityscapes. FANTASTIC!!!

3.) I usually only spotlight one artist, but this work is TOO GOOD not to mention today. Her work with paper is SPECTACULAR!!!!! Artist Jennifer Collier uses paper to produce unusual ‘fabrics’, which are used to explore the ‘remaking’ of household objects.
Jennifer explains, "The papers themselves serve as both the inspiration and the media for my work, with the narrative of the books and papers suggesting the forms. I tend to find items then investigate a way in which they can be reused and transformed; giving new life to things that would otherwise go unloved or be thrown away."

AWESOME WORK, JENNIFER!!!

4.) These chairs created by Spanish designer Maximo Riera, ROCK.
PLEASE NOTE: no animals were harmed in the making of these chairs!
I need a set of them in my house. Don't you?

5.) Jill Barber. I think I have mentioned her before.....but she is worth mentioning again!! She is Canadian, with a kinda jazzy-retro sound. VERY ENJOYABLE!

Here is a sampling of her music. A video from each of her last 3 albums (in order of release from newest - oldest) ENJOY!!

There you go! Another week come and gone! I hope you enjoyed these 5 things!!!!
Your comments are always appreciated!!!
